Eminem has secured his 11th Number 1 album with his latest release, “The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce),” logging 45,000 chart units this week.
This achievement puts him on par with David Bowie and U2, who boast 11 chart-topping albums.
Eminem’s previous Number 1 albums include “The Marshall Mathers LP” (2000), “The Eminem Show” (2002), “Encore” (2004), “Curtain Call: The Hits” (2005), “Relapse” (2009), “Recovery” (2010), “The Marshall Mathers LP 2” (2013), “Revival” (2017), “Kamikaze” (2018), and “Music To Be Murdered By” (2020).
In other chart news, Griff, the BRITs Rising Star winner, lands at Number 3 with her debut full-length album “Vertigo,” surpassing her previous best of Number 4 with her 2021 E.P. “One Foot In Front of The Other.”
Griff expressed her gratitude to her fans, stating, “Anyone who’s listened to my music, followed the journey, it’s been a real rollercoaster, and it means the world that you’ve supported bought the album, listened to it, streamed it. Scottish rock band Travis earns their 10th Top 10 album with “L.A. Times,” claiming the Number 1 spot on the Official Record Store Chart. London-born singer-songwriter Cat Burns makes a Top 10 debut with her album “Early Twenties” at Number 7.
Just outside the Top 10, American dream pop band Cigarettes After Sex achieves their highest-charting album with “X’s” at Number 12, which also tops the Official Vinyl Albums Chart. Atlanta-born singer Clairo secures her first Top 40 album with “Charm.”
Further down the chart, Travis Scott’s “Utopia” re-enters the Top 40 at Number 38 following his U.K. tour dates. Finally, John Lennon’s 1973 solo album “Mind Games” reappears at Number 39, having peaked initially at 13.
