Eamonn Holmes Attends Tric Awards with New Girlfriend, Looking Loved-Up
Eamonn Holmes appeared smitten with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, as they arrived together at the Tric Awards this afternoon.
The 65-year-old TV personality, who was seen using a walker, looked sharp in a suit, while Katie wore a polka dot dress and bright red lipstick. The event was a star-studded affair, with many of Eamonn’s friends in attendance and some familiar faces from his past, including those close to his ex-wife, Ruth Langsford.
Ruth was notably absent from the event, as she is currently filming I’m A Celebrity Unpacked in Australia. However, several of her friends, such as Lizzie Cundy, were at the bash.
Eamonn and Ruth’s 28-year relationship, including a 14-year marriage, ended earlier this year. Once regarded as “TV’s golden couple,” they married in 2010 after being introduced by mutual friends in 1991.
Ruth has since filed for divorce and is represented by high-profile divorce lawyer Catherine Costley, who previously worked with Baroness Fiona Shackleton, known for representing King Charles in his split from Princess Diana, and Sir Paul McCartney.
The couple shares a £3.5million five-bedroom home in Weybridge, Surrey, where Ruth has remained since the separation. On the other hand, Eamonn has moved into a flat in South West London with Katie.
Sources have revealed that Eamonn and Katie’s relationship began through social media, and no one was aware of their connection dating back 12 years. It’s believed Ruth will be shocked to learn of their long-standing communication.
Eamonn, who underwent a double hip replacement in 2016 and back surgery last year, now relies on a wheelchair or walker to get around.
