Donald Trump Jr. criticized the Biden administration’s recent actions in Ukraine, claiming that the United States’ continued aid to the country is an attempt to ignite “World War 3” before his father, Donald Trump, takes office in January.

Trump Jr., 46, took to social media to accuse the “military-industrial complex” of escalating the conflict.

He suggested that the Biden administration’s decision to authorize the use of American-made long-range missiles in Ukraine is part of a larger scheme to sow chaos ahead of his father’s return to the White House.

“The Military Industrial Complex seems to want to make sure they get World War 3 going before my father has a chance to create peace and save lives,” Trump Jr. tweeted. “Gotta lock in those $Trillions. Life be damned!!! Imbeciles!”

On Monday, President Joe Biden, 81, authorized the Ukrainian military to use U.S.-supplied Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to strike targets within Russia, marking a significant shift from his previous approach that sought to de-escalate the conflict.

The decision grants Ukraine the ability to target Russian military positions up to 190 miles away, with a powerful blast radius.

The Ukrainian government has long requested such weaponry, citing urgent needs in the face of mounting military setbacks. Ukraine is expected to begin deploying these missiles within days.

This development comes as the third anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine approaches, a war that has claimed tens of thousands of Ukrainian civilian lives.

Meanwhile, Donald Trump, 78, has promised to end the war upon taking office, with his campaign asserting that he alone has the ability to negotiate peace between the warring nations.

Following his victory earlier this month, Trump spoke with both Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Trump’s communications director, Steven Cheung, stated, “As President Trump has said on the campaign trail, he is the only person who can bring both sides together in order to negotiate peace, and work towards ending the war and stopping the killing.”

Although Trump has expressed his intent to halt the conflict, specific details on how he plans to achieve peace remain unclear.

Of Trump’s five children, Donald Trump Jr. has played the most prominent role in his father’s political endeavors and is reportedly instrumental in shaping the transition team as well as selecting cabinet nominees.
