Pennsylvania, October 5, 2024 – Former President Donald Trump kicked off his rally in Pennsylvania on Saturday with a lively start, making light of the assassination attempt against him in July.
“A very big thank you to Pennsylvania,” he began, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the crowd.
Continuing his speech, Trump said, “And as I was saying…” as he was met with loud applause.
The Republican candidate then shifted focus to an immigration chart displayed behind him, the one he had shown during the incident on July 13.
“I love that chart,” Trump declared, praising its visual appeal. “Isn’t it a beautiful thing?” He highlighted the significance of the data, noting, “But also beautiful because look at the number, that’s the day I left office. It was the lowest Border Patrol [apprehensions]… Today, it’s out of control.”
Trump’s remarks about immigration came as he emphasized his administration’s achievements compared to the current situation at the border, signaling a key focus for his campaign as he seeks to regain the presidency in 2024.
