Dillian Whyte marked his comeback to the boxing ring with an impressive performance, securing a three-round triumph over Christian Hammer in Ireland.
The former WBC interim heavyweight champion, returning to action after being cleared of doping allegations, showcased his dominance against Christian Hammer, a Romanian-born fighter, in Castlebar, County Mayo.
Hammer couldn’t continue after the third round, prompting the referee to halt the match and declare Whyte the winner, securing his 30th professional victory.
At 35 years old, the British boxer hadn’t competed since his win against Jermaine Franklin at Wembley in November 2022.
Despite being slated to face Anthony Joshua last August, the bout never materialized due to Whyte testing positive for a banned substance.
However, Whyte maintained his innocence, and after it was determined that he had inadvertently consumed a contaminated supplement, he was cleared to resume his boxing career.
