Cristiano Ronaldo has sparked speculation about his future after indicating that his time with Al-Nassr may be coming to an end.
The 40-year-old football icon made a cryptic post on social media just hours after the conclusion of the Saudi Pro League season.
“This chapter is over,” Ronaldo wrote alongside a photo of himself in an Al-Nassr shirt. “The story? Still being written. Grateful to all,” he added.
Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in 2022 following his departure from Manchester United. His contract with the Saudi club is due to expire this summer.
Although he had previously suggested he could finish his career at Al-Nassr, his recent comments have cast doubt on that plan.
A special transfer window for clubs participating in the Club World Cup — including Al-Nassr — runs from June 1 to 10, providing a potential opportunity for Ronaldo’s next move.
Al-Nassr’s season ended in disappointment, finishing third in the Saudi Pro League and missing out on the Asian Champions League Elite after losing to Kawasaki Frontale in the semi-finals.
Despite the team’s struggles, Ronaldo topped the league’s scoring charts with 24 goals, further cementing his reputation as one of football’s greatest players.
His future now remains uncertain, with fans and pundits watching closely to see where the five-time Ballon d’Or winner will go next.
