Catholic Advocacy Group Launches Ad Campaign Against Kamala Harris Over Support for Taxpayer-Funded Sex-Change Surgeries
The largest Catholic advocacy group in the United States is launching a high-profile ad campaign criticising Vice President Kamala Harris for her support of taxpayer-funded sex-change surgeries for minors.
A six-figure ad blitz will commence Monday in four key swing states: Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Michigan. The campaign targets Catholic voters and households with children.
The ads, provided exclusively to The Post, highlight Medicaid data that details the number of sex-change surgeries performed on minors in each state. Each ad begins with alarming statistics:
“Just in: Medicaid data shows [97 in PA; 86 in WI; 18 in NV; 35 in MI] underage girls had their breasts completely removed.” The ads continue with specific figures for each state, including the number of hysterectomies performed on minors.
The narrator in the ads criticises Harris, stating, “Kamala Harris supports these taxpayer-funded sex-change operations. A vote for Harris: a vote for medical experiments on kids.”
The Harris-Biden administration has reaffirmed its position that children may undergo transgender surgeries if their parents and doctors approve, despite typically reserving such procedures for adults.
Neera Tanden, Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council, emphasised the administration’s stance on supporting parental and medical decisions in gender-affirming care while noting that such surgeries are generally intended for adults.
Brian Burch, President of CatholicVote, criticised Harris and her Democratic allies, saying, “Physically healthy boys and girls are having their genitals and sexual organs destroyed, and Kamala Harris and her Democratic allies in the Senate not only think that’s acceptable but are forcing taxpayers to pay for it.”
The Vatican’s April document, “Infinite Dignity,” denounces sex-change surgeries, arguing they undermine the inherent dignity of the person from conception.
Harris’ campaign did not respond to The Post’s request for comment.
