New Orleans, LA—Rapper Cardi B publicly criticised President Donald Trump after his attendance at the 2025 Super Bowl allegedly damaged her $3,000 Louboutin shoes.
During an Instagram Live session on Sunday night, following the Philadelphia Eagles’ victory over the Kansas City Chiefs, Cardi B, 32, showcased her spiked designer heels, blaming Trump for the mishap.
“Look how f–ked up my shoes are,” she said in a clip that later surfaced on X (formerly Twitter). “This shoe cost me three bands. All because of Trump. Now I like him lesser!”

The Grammy-winning artist further expressed her frustration, stating, “You didn’t have to go to no damn Super Bowl! F–king up my shoe!” She explained that due to Trump’s presence at Caesars Superdome, the cart service was stopped at a certain point, forcing her to walk.

Cardi B claimed that Secret Service officials “were not playing” and made the experience difficult for attendees. Still “too f–king mad” about her footwear, she jokingly demanded that Trump return her deported uncle as compensation, later admitting, “Well, he definitely ain’t going to do that.”
Trump’s Super Bowl Appearance Sparks Controversy
Trump, 78, became the first sitting U.S. president to attend a Super Bowl, though he left after the second quarter. His presence led to increased security measures, impacting several high-profile attendees.

While at the event, Trump posed for photos with quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ family and mocked Taylor Swift, 35, after she was booed by the crowd.
Trump has previously expressed his dislike for Swift, especially after she endorsed Kamala Harris in the 2024 presidential election.

Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, also 35, had earlier described Trump’s attendance as an “honor.” “No matter who the president is, I know I’m excited because it’s the biggest game of my life,” Kelce told reporters before the game.

Other notable celebrities in attendance included Bradley Cooper with his 7-year-old daughter, Lea, and Anne Hathaway with her 5-year-old son, Jack.
Despite the high-profile guests, the night ended in disappointment for Kelce and the Chiefs, as the Eagles dominated the game, leaving Kelce to call the blowout loss a ‘tough pill to swallow.’
