British Wrestler Mad Kurt Dies at Age 26
Kurtis Chapman, also known as Mad Kurt, was a beloved British professional wrestler who passed away at 26.
His death has left the wrestling industry in shock, with Revolution Pro Wrestling confirming the tragic news on Friday morning.
Chapman was known for his comedic in-ring style and was considered one of the most gifted technical wrestlers, with charismatic characters and a magnetic personality. As a teenager, he began his wrestling career almost a decade ago and performed for various promotions across the UK, including PROGRESS Wrestling and IPW.
In 2018, Chapman won the RevPro British Cruiserweight Title and held the championship for six months. He delighted his fans with his tongue-in-cheek online persona and enjoyed trolling other wrestling stars. Despite his success, Chapman remained humble and excelled in all aspects of his life. His final match was in June this year, where he successfully defended his Resurgence Arthouse Championship.
The cause of Chapman’s death is yet to be confirmed. However, his passing has profoundly impacted the wrestling community, with various promotions and fans paying tribute to him on social media.
Revolution Pro Wrestling described him as a dear friend who will never be forgotten, while PROGRESS Wrestling expressed their devastation and stated that BritWres would never be the same without him.
Chapman’s legacy as a talented wrestler and a beloved personality will continue to live on, and he will be greatly missed by his family, friends, and fans.
