A British man, Ben Ross, 26, has disappeared in Majorca following a troubling email sent to his mother. The aspiring barrister from Golborne, Wigan, has been missing since July 10.
Ben traveled to Palma, Majorca, last month to work with an energy company during a study break. He was reportedly doing well until his phone, iPad, wallet, and keys were stolen while swimming on July 6.
After reporting the theft, Ben struggled to find his way home and had to break into his apartment when his flatmates didn’t recognize him. An argument ensued, but police took no further action after Ben agreed to cover the damage.
The theft impacted Ben’s finances and mental health. His last communication was an unsettling email to his mother, Felix, indicating he was in a poor mental state.
His mother is now in Majorca, appealing to the public for help. Over £1,000 has been raised to support her search efforts. She urges anyone with information to contact local police or the British Consulate.
Felix expressed her desperation, saying, “I just need to know my son is safe and well. The last few days have been torture. Please, if anyone has seen Ben, even for a second, let the authorities know.”
