British Tourist Found Dead in Bali Hostel After Requesting Room Change

A 32-year-old British tourist was found dead in a hostel in Bali’s Badung Regency on Friday, shortly after pleading with staff to change rooms the night before.

The tourist, whose identity has not yet been disclosed, reportedly told friends he felt unwell before retreating to his room.

Although the tourist agreed to wait until the following morning for a room change, the hostel staff grew concerned when he failed to emerge by midday. A cleaner discovered the body at 12:30 PM when she entered his room to check on him after several unanswered knocks.

According to a police spokesperson, the victim had requested a room change the previous day. The cleaner became suspicious after receiving no response and was shocked to find the man lying face down after opening the curtains.

Authorities have confirmed that no signs of violence were found at the scene, and a post-mortem examination is underway to determine the cause of death. The British tourist was reportedly in Indonesia on holiday with friends.
