British Teenager in Critical Condition After Car Crash in Albania

An 18-year-old British woman, Pamela Mema, from north London, is in a serious condition following a car crash in Albania.

The accident occurred on November 22 in the village of Belsh, Elbasan County, as Pamela was traveling to celebrate her sister’s 24th birthday. She was rushed to a local hospital, where she remains in a medically induced coma.

Pamela’s family and friends are now urgently raising funds to bring her back to the UK for specialized medical treatment.

Eshli Haxhiasllani, who organized the fundraising campaign, shared on the donation page: “On the 22nd November 2024, our beautiful, intelligent, and strong Pamela Mema got into a car accident in the village of Belsh, Albania, on the way to celebrate her sister’s 24th birthday.

“Since the 22nd, Pamela has been fighting for her life in the hospitals of Albania. We now urgently have to bring Pamela back home to London, so she can get the best medical care she needs with the doctors we trust and put our confidence in with an Air Ambulance.”

She added, “Pamela is only 18, with her whole life ahead of her. Any donations are hugely appreciated to bring our Pam home and for her to get the best care possible.”

Pamela’s family continues to appeal for support as they work to reunite her with trusted medical professionals in the UK.
