A British Airways pilot, Tim Capron, 37, is facing legal action after allegedly filming himself spanking a naked cabin crew member with a riding crop and sharing the footage without her consent, Reading Crown Court has been informed.
Capron, who met the woman on Tinder, reportedly engaged in discussions about their sexual fantasies and fetishes before their encounter. During their meeting, he allegedly asked her to wear a blindfold and used the riding crop as part of their role-play.
The situation reportedly escalated when Capron recorded video and took photos of the encounter. The woman discovered the footage after their session, leading to her reporting Capron to the police. The case against Capron, who earns £90,000 annually as a pilot, began when the woman brought her concerns to authorities in September 2021.
Prosecutor Stefan Weidmann addressed Capron, stating that as an educated individual with a prestigious job, he should have known that filming and sharing the footage without consent was unacceptable. Capron was suspended from British Airways on full pay in December following the allegations.
In court, Capron admitted that sharing the video was a mistake, claiming he thought the woman would be comfortable viewing the footage with his colleague, Steve Farnworth. Capron expressed regret, stating, “I am so sorry. I am glad you caught me doing it because I should not have done it.”
Capron, who resides in Taplow, Berkshire, denies the charge of voyeurism. The trial is ongoing, and further developments are anticipated as the case progresses.
