A United Airlines flight lost an external panel mid-flight, raising safety concerns about Boeing’s planes.
The Boeing 737-824 departed from San Francisco International Airport with 139 passengers and six crew members.

However, it wasn’t until the plane landed safely at Mogue Valley International/Medford Airport in Oregon that a missing external panel was discovered.
According to reports, the detached panel was part of the wing-to-body fairing underneath the aircraft. Despite the occurrence, pilots were unaware of any issues during the flight.
Fortunately, the plane landed safely ahead of schedule, and no injuries were reported.
Following the incident, United Airlines grounded the plane pending investigation. The airline is committed to thoroughly examining the aircraft, performing necessary repairs, and determining the cause of the damage.

This incident is part of a series of safety concerns surrounding Boeing aircraft, including ongoing lawsuits for previous incidents.
This event adds to recent occurrences involving United Airlines flights, including the loss of part of a landing gear tyre during takeoff from San Francisco International Airport and a flight forced to return to Australia due to observed fuel spilling from its landing gear. Despite these incidents, normal operations resumed shortly after each occurrence.
