The day began with a special blessing ceremony on Sunday, March 24th, at the picturesque Santa Catalina hermitage in Pinoso.
Under the guidance of Parish Priest Juan Bautista Llinares, palms and olive branches were blessed, marking the commencement of the day’s festivities.
Following the blessing, the procession pilgrimage commenced, featuring a poignant reenactment of Jesus and his Apostles delivering the first prophecy.
The procession wound through the streets, including Calle Ancha and Maestro Domenech, concluding near the church on Calle 12 de Febrero de 1826.
The entrance of Jesus into Jerusalem was a splendid spectacle, accompanied by the stirring music of the Bands of Bugles and Drums of the Holy Christ of the Good Death and Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno.
Upon reaching the Parish Church, a Palm Sunday liturgical celebration unfolded, with active participation from the Apostles and the “San Pedro Apóstol” Parish Choir.
The esteemed presidents of the brotherhoods and sisterhoods were in attendance, who spearhead the processions throughout Holy Week in Pinoso alongside a crowd of enthusiastic spectators.
