The Nuovo IMAIE Awards, part of the 81st Venice International Film Festival, celebrate emerging talents selected by the National Union of Italian Film Critics (SNCCI) and the National Union of Italian Film Journalists (SNGCI). This year’s event saw Tecla Insolia and Martina Scrinzi honoured, with Italian actress Teresa Saponangelo serving as the Godmother of the edition.

The festival, which began on August 28, featured notable screenings, including Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Sigourney Weaver was set to receive the Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement. Weaver expressed her honour at receiving the award, stating it was a privilege she shared with all her collaborators.
