Aubrey Plaza Rocks Sheer Gucci Dress at Joan Rivers Tribute, Turning Heads with Bold Fashion Choice
Aubrey Plaza turned heads again with her daring fashion choice at ‘Dead Funny: An All-Star Tribute to Joan Rivers’, a benefit event supporting God’s Love We Deliver.
The 40-year-old ‘White Lotus’ star stepped out in a sheer, crystal-embellished Gucci dress on Thursday night, marking the tenth anniversary of Joan Rivers’ death.
The striking dress featured lacy straps, velvet cups, and a sheer skirt. It was paired with high-waisted hot pants, pumps, and Boucheron jewellery. Plaza completed the look with a curled shoulder-length bob.
During the event, Plaza, known for her dry wit, took the stage to humorously bid farewell to some of Rivers’ most politically incorrect jokes, aligning with the late comedian’s bold, unfiltered style.
As the night honoured Rivers’ legacy, other stars also made fashionable statements. Nikki Glaser wore a gold-chain-accented Rebecca Vallance LBD, Michelle Buteau sported a vibrant blue bubble dress, and Chelsea Handler looked sleek in a maroon off-the-shoulder midi.
Rachel Brosnahan stunned in a floral-skirted Raisa Vanessa mini, while Tiffany Haddish wowed in a slinky green Tove maxi.
Plaza is no stranger to bold fashion choices, often opting for unexpected, eye-catching looks. Earlier this year, she stunned at the 2024 Emmy Awards in a butter-yellow Loewe gown featuring a gigantic pin, sparking comparisons to Post-It notes and slices of cheese. Her 2023 SAG Awards dress, a sequined Michael Kors number with an ab-baring cutout, also made waves.
Her stylist defended Plaza’s daring looks, ensuring fans that the revealing dress choices were intentional. Fans are on board, giving Plaza and her team a well-deserved A+.
