Aubrey O’Day has said she is not currently scheduled to testify in Sean “Diddy” Combs’ federal sex trafficking case, despite ongoing speculation surrounding her potential involvement.
Speaking during the premiere of her iHeartRadio podcast “Aubrey O’Day: Covering the Diddy Trial” — part of the “Amy Robach & T.J.

Holmes Present” series — the former Danity Kane singer said, “I’m not here to testify for the Diddy trial, that I know of.” The 41-year-old made the statement from a studio in New York City.

However, O’Day acknowledged that she had been in contact with Homeland Security and even attended a meeting with the agency, which carried out the raids on Combs’ homes earlier this year.
She did not clarify the nature of the discussion but hinted that the situation could evolve.

Earlier reports suggested O’Day was preparing to take the witness stand. A source told Us Weekly that she was “ready” and “not going to back down,” expressing her desire to see justice served.
O’Day further fuelled speculation when she posted a video of the Manhattan skyline to her Instagram Stories with the caption, “Hey New York!!! Where y’all think I should head first?” accompanied by a justice scale emoji.

Combs’ federal trial is underway at the Daniel Patrick Moynihan courthouse in downtown Manhattan. Although O’Day posted multiple videos from a New York City rooftop, she explained on her podcast that she intended to show she was in the city for leisure, not legal proceedings.
During the same podcast episode, O’Day responded to the recent courtroom appearance of Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, who dated Combs from 2007 to 2018.
Ventura spent four days testifying about their allegedly abusive relationship, including graphic accounts of so-called “Freak-Offs,” drug use, and rape allegations, all while enduring intense cross-examination that included her messages being read aloud.

Describing Ventura’s testimony, O’Day said, “It feels very honest. It feels very open, vulnerable, horrific… It’s horrific that she had to go through so much.”
She also referenced a text exchange read in court where Combs allegedly said to Ventura, “You don’t want to do the freak out now. You’reu so predictable.” O’Day remarked that such language was consistent with behaviour often associated with grooming.
O’Day has spoken publicly about her own time with Combs, under whose label she was signed from 2005 until her dismissal in 2008. She has accused the mogul of attempting to groom her during their time together on MTV’s Making the Band. On a 2024 episode of the Crysis Queen podcast, she alleged that Combs closely monitored her appearance, claiming, “[Combs] is on camera saying how much he hates it, but he’s off-camera telling me all the ways I needed to be groomed properly — like down to my toenails.”

In a 2023 interview on the Call Her Daddy podcast, O’Day claimed that she was removed from Danity Kane because she refused to comply with what she alleged were Combs’ inappropriate expectations. “I wasn’t willing to do what was expected of me,” she said, clarifying that the expectations were “not talent-wise, but in other areas… That was very traumatic. I don’t think any of us have healed from that.”
While O’Day may not testify, another former Danity Kane member, Dawn Richard, has already taken the stand.

Richard is currently suing Combs for alleged sexual abuse and told the court that he witnessed instances of violence between Combs and Ventura. Her testimony will resume on Monday.

Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing multiple federal charges, including sex trafficking, racketeering, and the transportation of individuals for prostitution. The 55-year-old music executive has pleaded not guilty. If convicted, he could face life in prison.
