Anya Taylor-Joy and Malcolm McRae Enjoy Date Night at ‘Cabaret’ with Lewis Hamilton
Anya Taylor-Joy and her husband Malcolm McRae enjoyed a night out at the theatre on Thursday, attending a performance of Cabaret at the Playhouse Theatre.
The couple was in the West End to support their friend Cara Delevingne, who is in her final week of performing as Sally Bowles.
Anya, 28, looked stunning in a taupe square neck top paired with a beige mini skirt and black loafers. Malcolm, 30, looked sharp in a khaki shirt and black trousers.
They were joined by other stars, including Lewis Hamilton, who also came to watch the show. Lewis, 39, looked stylish in a green shirt and printed jacket. He had watched Tom Holland in Romeo & Juliet with Anya the previous night.
Cara Delevingne, a close friend of the couple, attended their legal wedding ceremony in New Orleans in April 2022 and their lavish nuptials in Venice last October.
Cara took over the role of Sally Bowles after Rebecca Lucy Taylor, known as Self Esteem, finished her run. The musical, set in Berlin’s underground club scene during the Jazz Age and the rise of Nazi Germany, is a significant production for Cara, marking her West End debut.
Cara, known for her roles in Anna Karenina, Paper Towns, Suicide Squad, and Tulip Fever, expressed her excitement about playing the iconic role made famous by Liza Minnelli in the 1972 film version.
She stars alongside Olivier award-winning Luke Treadaway, who plays The Emcee in the play. Cara said about her debut, “There are no words to explain the excitement I have to return home to make my stage debut in such an iconic role.”
Despite losing her $7 million Los Angeles mansion to a fire in March, Cara has remained in London. The fire, caused by an electrical fault, devastated the 8,000-square-foot property.
Initially fearing her two cats had perished, Cara shared her heartbreak on Instagram. However, she later updated her fans, announcing, “They are alive!! Thank you to the firefighters.”
This night at the theatre was a moment of respite and celebration for Cara, who was supported by her close friends Anya and Malcolm and fellow celebrity Lewis Hamilton.
