Despite the request set by Columbia University officials, students occupying an anti-Israel encampment failed to meet the 2 p.m. ET deadline for dismantling their protest site. The University warned those who did not clear out were at risk of being suspended.

As the deadline passed, it became evident that students had not complied with the directive. The encampment, a focal point of protest on the campus, remained intact despite the University’s efforts to enforce its removal.
