An Israeli-War Cabinet minister has emphasized that the conflict with Iran is far from over, signalling that Israel will exact retaliation for Iran’s recent strike.
Benny Gantz, in a statement, noted that Israel will choose the appropriate time to respond to Iran’s attacks, which included the interception of over 300 drones and missiles during a recent unprecedented attack.
Gantz emphasized, “Iran attacked Israel, but they faced our strong security response. This ongoing situation stresses the need to reinforce our strategic alliances and regional cooperation.”
In dealing with the threat from Iran, Israel plans to rally support from neighbouring nations to hold Iran accountable, choosing the timing and method that best serves its interests.
While the United States reaffirmed its commitment to Israel’s defence, it also made it clear that it won’t engage in offensive actions against Iran.
A US spokesperson, John Kirby, stated, “We’re not looking to escalate tensions or widen conflicts in the region.”
Collaboration among the US, UK, and France was evident in countering threats against Israel, including successfully neutralizing drones.
