Lauren Sánchez accompanied her fiancé, Jeff Bezos, to a high-profile event at the White House, where her striking attire grabbed attention.
The former journalist, aged 54, donned a daring red gown with a plunging neckline adorned with lace, making a bold fashion statement at Wednesday’s extravagant state dinner.

Her off-the-shoulder Rasario dress, priced at $2,200, showcased corset-like boning and a flowing floor-length silk skirt, creating an eye-catching ensemble. Completing her look were Gianvito Rossi Flavia mirrored leather pumps costing $1,200, along with oversized diamond earrings and a shimmering clutch.

This ensemble was notably bolder than the usual formal wear seen at White House state dinners, where guests typically opt for more conservative attire. In contrast, Bezos, the billionaire Amazon founder and Washington Post owner, chose a classic black tuxedo paired with a silk bowtie atop a crisp white shirt.
During the black-tie event, Sánchez and Bezos mingled with several notable figures, honouring Japan’s Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko, with President Biden and Dr Jill Biden acting as hosts.

The guest list also included legendary actor Robert De Niro and his girlfriend Tiffany Chen, along with Apple CEO Tim Cook, VP Lisa Jackson, and Japanese American Olympic medalists Kristi YamagucDrand Alex and Maia Shibutani.

The evening began with a reception in the White House East Room, where over 200 guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal featuring house-cured salmon and dry-aged rib-eye steak. Among the attendees were JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon and Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, seen engaged in conversation before toasts by Biden and Kishida.

During his toast, President Biden, 81, emphasized the enduring friendship between the U.S. and Japan, highlighting shared challenges and the commitment to continued cooperation and progress.
Entertainment for the night was provided by the iconic musician Paul Simon, aged 82, who performed in the State Dining Room. His setlist included beloved hits like “Graceland” and “Slip Slidin’ Away,” delighting guests and showcasing the enduring appeal of his music.

Sánchez and Bezos had recently returned from a trip to Japan, as shared on Sánchez’s Instagram, where they immersed themselves in cultural experiences, family time, and scenic beauty, capturing cherished memories they look forward to revisiting.
