Evernorth Health Services, a division of the global Cigna Group, is set to inaugurate a new healthcare innovation hub in Galway, marking a significant development that will create more than 100 job opportunities.
The recruitment drive for this venture will encompass a diverse range of candidates, including recent graduates and seasoned professionals in technology-related roles such as software strategy, architecture, and product management.
Although the hiring process is currently ongoing, these positions will be phased in gradually over the coming years, with crucial financial support provided by IDA Ireland.
Luke Warren, Evernorth Ireland’s Head, explained that Galway was strategically chosen as the hub location due to its conducive environment for fostering innovation and driving advancements within the healthcare sector.
Michael Lohan, CEO of IDA Ireland, lauded the announcement as a testament to Ireland’s well-established reputation as a global centre for innovation and a hotspot for top-tier technology talent.

As the preparations for the new hub progress, Evernorth Ireland is temporarily headquartered at Hibernian House in Eyre Square, laying the groundwork for future collaborations and initiatives in the region.
