Stephanie Mueller, a 70-year-old transgender attorney, has garnered attention in a Washington state courtroom due to her choice of attire while defending a client.

During a recent appearance in a Seattle court, Mueller garnered notice for wearing a low-cut blue top that emphasised her surgically enhanced breasts, accompanied by skin-tight black leather pants and boots, along with bold makeup.

Journalist Jonathan Choe captured Mueller’s outfit in a video shared on social media, highlighting the unusual attire for a legal setting as she represented a client involved in disrupting a council meeting.

Mueller’s client, Iris Boardman, faces charges of first-degree criminal trespassing stemming from her activism during the meeting above, as reported by Choe.

Despite the video evidence showing her client’s involvement, Mueller staunchly defended Boardman’s innocence, stating outside the courtroom that she had pleaded not guilty and maintained her innocence.

Mueller, a veteran public defender with over 20 years of experience, has been open about her transgender identity and views herself as a role model for the transgender community in Washington state.
