Chelsea Football Club is reportedly willing to let go of some of its players during the January transfer window.
The club spent £450 million on 13 new players during the summer transfer window, but with their current position in the Premier League, the club may need to be more active in the upcoming transfer window.
Mauricio Pochettino, the club’s manager, has expressed the need to sign a new striker, with Victor Osimhen of Napoli and Ivan Toney of Brentford among the club’s targets. However, the club must sell players first, as they face Financial Fair Play restrictions.

One of the players who could leave the club is Noni Madueke, who was signed by PSV Eindhoven last January. The 21-year-old winger has struggled for game time under Pochettino, starting just one game this season.
ESPN reports that a loan move could also be possible for Madueke should the right offer come in.
Trevoh Chalobah is another player expected to leave Chelsea. The 24-year-old has been linked with Bayern Munich and Roma, with Crystal Palace also monitoring his situation. Chalobah has yet to feature under Pochettino due to a thigh injury he has been struggling with all season.
Ian Maatsen, a full-back, is also another player who could be on the move. Burnley failed in their bid to sign him on a permanent basis during the summer transfer window.
The Dutchman has been limited to just 130 minutes of Premier League action across nine appearances this season, all coming from the bench. Borussia Dortmund has expressed interest in bringing Maatsen to the Wesfalenstadion. Still, whether they can make a permanent offer in the New Year remains to be seen.
With Financial Fair Play restrictions in place, Chelsea must sell players first before they can spend freely in the transfer window. The club is reportedly willing to let go of some of its players, including Madueke, Chalobah, and Maatsen.
