In a shocking revelation, the Nigerian government has declared Odoh Ocheme, a staff of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), along with Adamu Abubakar and Imam Abubakar, wanted for allegedly forging the signature of former President Muhammadu Buhari to steal $6.2 million cash from the apex bank.

The disclosure came in a letter addressed to the Assistant Inspector General of Police by the CBN special investigator’s office. Ocheme and his accomplices are accused of conspiring and forging documents in the name of Buhari to siphon $6,230,000 from the CBN’s coffers.

The letter, signed by Eloho Okpoziakpo, Head of Operation, Office of Special Investigator, Deputy Commissioner of Police, highlighted the seriousness of the allegations and requested INTERPOL red notice for the individuals involved.

Furthermore, it was revealed that the Nigerian government has filed a six-count charge against Ocheme and his accomplices. Warrants of arrest have been issued by the Federal High Court of Nigeria, Abuja Division, for their arraignment.

The special investigator emphasized the importance of apprehending and repatriating the accused individuals from Interpol member states where they may have fled. The request for INTERPOL red notice underscores the gravity of the charges and the government’s determination to bring the perpetrators to justice.
