A tragic incident unfolded aboard a Lufthansa flight from Thailand to Germany, as a 63-year-old man passed away after coughing up ‘litres of blood’, leaving fellow passengers in shock and disbelief.

Eyewitnesses described scenes of horror as the man collapsed in front of his wife, who was travelling with him on the flight to Munich.

According to reports, the man, whose identity has not been disclosed, appeared visibly ill when boarding the plane in Bangkok.

However, his condition worsened dramatically during the flight, leading to his untimely demise just before midnight on Thursday.

Passenger Karin Missfelder recounted the distressing events, noting that the man exhibited symptoms such as cold sweats and rapid breathing before collapsing.

Despite efforts from passengers to assist him, including checking his pulse and offering tea, the severity of his condition became apparent as he continued to lose significant amounts of blood.

The cabin crew worked tirelessly for approximately thirty minutes to save the man, but sadly, their efforts were in vain. The captain made the sad announcement of the passenger’s passing, and his body was respectfully moved to the galley of the plane.

After the tragedy, the flight returned to Bangkok, where passengers were rebooked on alternative flights. However, amidst the chaos, one heartbreaking detail stood out – the man’s wife was left to navigate customs and formalities alone, adding to the emotional toll of the situation.

As investigations into the incident continue, M10News has contacted Lufthansa for further comment.
