Donald Trump has declared that the United States will not attend the upcoming G20 summit in South Africa, giving completely unsubstantiated reasons for the persecution of white people in the country.
The US president, speaking on Thursday, termed it a total disgrace that South Africa is hosting the meeting of leaders representing the greatest economies in the world, who would hold the meeting in Johannesburg later this month.
In its response, the foreign ministry of South Africa termed the decision of the White House regrettable.
Arguments that lack Evidential Support

All political parties in South Africa, including those that represent the Afrikaner and the white population in general, have not alleged any genocide in the country.
In his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said: “It is an outrage that G20 will be hosted in South Africa”.
He wrote that Afrikaners (the descendants of the Dutch settlers, as well as the French and German immigrants) were killed and slaughtered, and their land and farms were confiscated illegally.
No US government official will come so long as these human rights violations take place.
Earlier, Trump had indicated that South Africa did not deserve to be in the G20 in the first place, and that he would not be there personally, but rather send his Vice President, JD Vance. However, currently, the White House declares that no US official will attend.
South Africa Pushes Back
The foreign ministry of South Africa reacted to the announcement made by Trump.
The ministry said that the South African government wanted to put it on record that the Afrikaner is not a strictly white group, as was characterised.
Moreover, the argument that this community is persecuted is not supported by reality.
The G20 is held each year in a different member state and sets the agenda of the summit. The US will be the one to follow South Africa.
Accusations against the Trump Administration Repeated

Trump has repeatedly accused South Africa of discriminating against its white minority since he returned to the office in January. In May, he challenged South African President Cyril Ramaphosa in the Oval Office over the problem.
The Trump administration has given Afrikaners refugee status, claiming that there is a genocide taking place in South Africa. The White House announced the intention to limit the number of refugees accepted into the country to an all-time low last week and prioritize white South Africans.
The government of South Africa responded to the allegations of white genocide by stating that the allegations are highly discredited and have not been backed by credible evidence, and cited the low take-up rate of this offer by South Africans.
In February, a South African court overturned the claims as being clearly imagined.
What is the G20?
G20 was established in the year 1999 following the Asian financial crisis. The countries in question manage over 85 percent of the global wealth, and their purpose was to recover the economy.
To encourage collaboration at the international level, the leaders of the first summit took place in 2008 in reaction to the global financial crisis of the same year.
The leaders now come together annually with the representatives of the European Union and the African Union to deliberate with regard to the economy of world economy and the problems that the countries are experiencing.
Diplomatic Fallout
The US boycott is a very important diplomatic violation. Earlier governments have never missed G20 meetings irrespective of bilateral strains with the host countries.
Trump takes the move as the White House tries to take a more aggressive stance when it comes to international forums and multilateral institutions. The relocation will increase the already strained relations between Washington and Pretoria.
South African officials have yet to show how they intend to go about the summit without the US representation. The summit will go ahead according to plan, and other key economies are supposed to follow suit.
