Mariah Carey stunned the crowd at the 2024 Recording Academy Honors with her daring outfit choice.
The pop diva wore a sheer corset-style dress that left little to the imagination, showing off her curves and legs.

The dress, designed by Schiaparelli, consisted of a nude satin bodysuit with boning and a bronze tulle overlay that wrapped around her bust and waist. She paired the look with glittering brown pumps and dazzling diamond jewelry, including a choker, earrings, and a cuff.

Carey, who was honoured with the Global Impact Award at the event, also made a splash with her speech. She joked about not seeing a Grammy in a long time and questioned the authenticity of the award. She also thanked her fans and collaborators for their support throughout her career.

The 2024 Recording Academy Honors, presented by the Black Music Collective, celebrated the achievements of Black music creators and their contributions to the industry and society. Other honorees included Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, and Quincy Jones.

Carey, who has won five Grammys in her career, also performed a medley of her hits at the event, including “Vision of Love”, “We Belong Together”, and “Hero”.
She received a standing ovation from the audience, which included fellow honorees and celebrities such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Alicia Keys, and John Legend.
The event also featured tributes to the other honorees, with performances by artists such as H.E.R., Anderson .Paak, Jazmine Sullivan, and Chloe x Halle. The Black Music Collective, a newly formed group within the Recording Academy, aims to amplify the voices and perspectives of Black music creators and professionals.
The 2024 Recording Academy Honors was broadcasted live on CBS and streamed on Paramount+. It was one of the prelude events leading up to the 66th Grammy Awards, which will take place on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
