Serena Williams has brushed aside criticism of her recent weight loss, maintaining a confident and composed stance as she continues to enjoy time off the court and in the public eye.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion, 43, was recently spotted in New York City, where she’s been vacationing with her family. While out and about, Williams was approached by TMZ Sports and asked how she copes with fans constantly scrutinising her body and “monitoring her weight.”

When pressed further about how she feels these days, Williams added simply, “Look good, feel good, right?” – a slogan that appears to capture the essence of her current mindset.

Williams, who is also mum to seven-year-old Alexis Olympia, shares both children with her husband, Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian, 42.
Her noticeable transformation has sparked both admiration and criticism online, with some fans praising her discipline, while others have voiced concern that she may have become “too thin.”
Despite the mixed reactions, Williams appears focused on her health and well-being. Her Instagram feed has featured videos of her workouts, revealing chiselled abs and intense training sessions that demonstrate the dedication behind her post-baby body.
She also follows a predominantly plant-based diet and lives with her family on a five-acre farm in South Florida, where they grow much of their food.
“We live off the land,” she told Time magazine in April, as part of her feature in the Time 100 issue.
On their property, the Williams-Ohanian household cultivates a variety of crops, including purple sweet potatoes, mangoes, blueberries, raspberries, peppers, and more.
The family also harvests large quantities of honey and dries antioxidant-rich moringa leaves to brew herbal tea.

“I’m always like, ‘Girl, what are you doing today?’” she said, describing how she and Markle swap ideas and keep each other motivated.
Off the court, Williams has reinvented herself as a business powerhouse.
She founded Serena Ventures in 2014 and has since raised more than $100 million in capital to support a portfolio of over 30 startups, with a focus on empowering women and people of colour.

Through this venture, she is executive producing the upcoming Netflix adaptation of Carrie Soto Is Back—a novel by Taylor Jenkins Reid about a legendary tennis player who comes out of retirement to reclaim her title.

Despite online chatter, Williams remains unfazed by the pressure. She’s charting her course, driven not by public opinion, but by a lifelong commitment to excellence—on and off the court.
