Bruno Tonioli has officially stepped down as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent after two series, with social media star and musician KSI reportedly in talks to take his place, according to sources cited by The Sun.
Tonioli, 69, who joined the ITV talent show in 2023 following David Walliams’ departure, is understood to be leaving on good terms due to scheduling pressures.
The Italian choreographer and former Strictly Come Dancing judge reportedly found it difficult to balance his professional commitments with the production demands of BGT.

A source close to the production said: “Bruno has officially quit Britain’s Got Talent and they are hoping that KSI will replace him. He absolutely loved being on the panel with Simon [Cowell], Alesha Dixon and Amanda Holden but Bruno just can’t juggle his schedule with filming.”
The source stressed that there was “no bad blood” behind the scenes and that Tonioli’s exit was amicable. “Bruno is leaving with a smile on his face,” they added.
The news follows mounting speculation after KSI appeared as a guest judge on BGT, where his performance reportedly impressed both fans and the judging panel.

According to reports, producers have since engaged the YouTuber-turned-boxer and musician in discussions about potentially joining the show full-time.
Tonioli himself had previously spoken positively about KSI, calling him “a real charming man full of energy.” In a light-hearted comment after their appearance together, he quipped: “We’re both young, attractive, multi-talented stars known the world over,” before adding, “Joking aside, I think KSI is fantastic.”

KSI, whose real name is Olajide Olatunji, has built a multi-faceted career spanning digital media, music, and professional boxing. His addition to the BGT judging panel would mark a significant generational shift for the show, potentially appealing to a younger demographic.
Simon Cowell, Alesha Dixon, and Amanda Holden are all expected to return for the next season of Britain’s Got Talent. ITV has yet to issue an official statement confirming Tonioli’s departure or KSI’s potential appointment.
Tonioli had joined BGT with considerable fanfare after serving as a beloved judge on Strictly Come Dancing for over 15 years. His animated style and exuberant reactions quickly became a hallmark of the programme. On BGT, he brought similar flair and was well received by both colleagues and viewers.

As ITV prepares for the next instalment of the long-running talent competition, the potential inclusion of KSI could bring a fresh dynamic to the judging table — one that reflects the show’s ongoing evolution amid changing audience trends.
