Actress and activist Ashley Judd has sparked widespread discussion online after posting a light-hearted video in which she openly embraced ageing and body changes, declaring herself a member of what she called the “We Don’t Care Club”.
The 57-year-old shared footage of herself swimming in the Baltic Sea in a one-piece swimsuit, speaking candidly to the camera about cellulite, chafing, and what she described as “hungry bum”.

“I probably have cellulite, and I don’t care,” Judd said in the Instagram video. “I got hungry bum, and I don’t care.”
Filmed during a swim off the coast of the Baltic Sea, Judd cheerfully pointed out her “cornstarch thighs” – a reference to using the powder to ease chafing – before laughing and shrugging off how it appeared on camera. “Sometimes I get a little chafing, like right down there,” she said. “And I put cornstarch on it, and sometimes you can see it. And I don’t care.”

Judd was among the first women to come forward publicly with allegations against former Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. In 2017, she was one of several women whose testimonies helped launch the #MeToo movement.

Judd has also spoken publicly about the loss of her mother, country singer Naomi Judd, who died by suicide in 2022. In a television interview with Diane Sawyer, she revealed she was the one who discovered her mother’s body.

Despite the personal trauma, she remains close with her half-sister, singer Wynonna Judd. In a joint interview with People magazine later that year, the pair denied rumours of a family rift following Naomi Judd’s death and the reported contents of her will.
Ashley Judd’s Instagram post has drawn hundreds of supportive comments, with many praising her honesty and humour.
“I love your ‘I don’t care’ club,” one user wrote. “This made me laugh so hard – and reminded me to love myself a little mùore,” another added.
