Dwight Howard and his wife Amber Rose Howard — known professionally as rapper and reality TV star Amy Luciani — are heading for divorce just six months after tying the knot.

Court documents obtained by TMZ confirm that Rose filed for divorce on July 1 in Georgia, citing irreconcilable differences.
The 34-year-old reality star stated in her filing that the marriage is “irretrievably broken” and there are “no prospects for reconciliation.”

Rose has requested alimony and asked that the court ensure all marital assets and property are “equitably divided.”
The couple were married on January 11, 2025, after going public with their relationship just a month earlier.

Howard and Rose announced their engagement on Instagram in December, with a series of romantic photos featuring matching diamond rings.
The unexpected split comes after what appeared to be a whirlwind romance between the former NBA star and the “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta” alum.
Fans had taken note of Rose’s recent social media activity, where she appeared to remove all traces of Howard from her profiles.

Neither party has commented publicly on the divorce proceedings as of Tuesday morning.
The divorce filing also follows the release of a children’s book by Rose last month, in which she used Howard’s last name.
Howard, 39, has been in the spotlight for much of his career, having played 18 seasons in the NBA.

He won an NBA championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 and is a three-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
Since retiring from the NBA, Howard has joined the BIG3 League and is currently in his first season with the league.

His name was also among the first-time nominees for the 2025 Basketball Hall of Fame, announced last December.
Rose, on her part, has built a profile beyond reality TV, with recent ventures in music and publishing.
She appeared on Seasons 11 and 12 of VH1’s “Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta,” gaining attention for her outspoken personality.
In 2023, she released a music album titled Amy’s World, which included several independently produced tracks.

Rose has since worked on entrepreneurial ventures, including fashion and wellness products promoted via social media.
The couple had not previously revealed much detail about their private lives or wedding ceremony.
However, their rapid engagement and marriage had surprised fans, many of whom expressed concern over the sudden shift in tone online.

The court filing did not mention whether the couple had a prenuptial agreement.
It’s also unclear if the divorce will impact any joint ventures or shared properties acquired during the short-lived marriage.
Howard, known for keeping a low public profile in recent years, has not responded to requests for comment.

Rose, who has over 1 million followers on Instagram, has not made any direct statements regarding the filing either.
More details are expected to emerge as the legal proceedings continue in Georgia’s Fulton County court system.
