Vicky Pattison has been offered a deal to take part in this year’s Strictly Come Dancing, according to sources close to the production.
The reality star, 37, reportedly impressed BBC producers after supporting her friend Pete Wicks in the audience during last year’s series.

A source familiar with the discussions said: “Vicky loved watching Pete on the series and was in awe of the detail that goes into every performance. She has great energy and will no doubt be a hit with the viewers.”
Best known for her breakout role in Geordie Shore in 2011, the Newcastle-born TV personality has since become a familiar face across UK reality and factual programming.

Pattison was crowned Queen of the Jungle on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! in 2015, and later described the experience as “the best thing” she had ever done.
Although her name has been linked to Strictly in the past, Pattison had previously played down the idea, citing nerves and a lack of dance experience.
Speaking to The Sun last year, she said: “I’ve done my fair share of reality TV and I’d never say never to anything, but I’m not a dancer, at all.”
The former MTV star revealed she immediately called Pete Wicks when she learned he would be joining the show, expressing concern about the pressure.
“Me and him are more ‘stand in the corner, have a drink and a laugh’ types than the ‘centre of the dance floor’ kind of people,” she said.

Pattison added that as she’s grown older, she finds herself stepping out of her comfort zone less frequently — something she recognises she wants to change.
“He was really nervous, and I think that’s how I’d be,” she said. “But I know that’s not a good thing. I should be pushing myself out of it sometimes.”
A separate source close to Pattison suggested that her recent projects — which include a Channel 4 documentary on body image and appearances on Celebrity Gogglebox — have boosted her popularity and made her a strong candidate for the Strictly line-up.
“She’s had a continuing rise in popularity and her TV work is going from strength to strength,” the source said. “It’s a no-brainer they want to sign her up.”

Should she accept, Pattison will follow in the footsteps of other reality stars who have made the leap to the Strictly ballroom, including Zara McDermott and Jamie Laing.
The BBC declined to comment on casting speculation for the upcoming series.
A representative for Pattison was also approached for comment but did not immediately respond.
Fans of the series will have to wait for the official Strictly line-up announcement, which is expected later this summer.
Meanwhile, speculation continues to grow about who will join the glittering cast of this year’s dancefloor drama.
