Aleska Génesis, 33, a model and former contestant on the American-Spanish version of Celebrity Big Brother (La Casa de los Famosos All Stars), was arrested by Mexican authorities just moments after being eliminated from the reality show.

In dramatic footage, the distraught model is seen being escorted to a car before being transported to a women’s prison in Mexico City. Génesis faces accusations of involvement in a “gang-related theft” of luxury watches.

This isn’t the first time the model has been detained concerning the case. In January 2023, she was stopped at Mexico City International Airport after an alert was triggered due to her name. She, along with two other women, was accused of stealing three luxury watches, worth more than 10 million MXN (£380,500), from the home of Mexican casino magnate Francisco Javier Rodríguez Borgio.

It’s claimed that Génesis attempted to sell the watches in Miami, a move that alerted Borgio when a friend contacted him. Following her arrest in 2023, she spent only a few hours in a women’s prison before being released by a judge due to insufficient evidence.
Before entering the reality show, Génesis was aware of the outstanding arrest warrant, but had managed to secure a legal safeguard. However, the safeguard became invalid after her elimination from the show.

In a post to her 8.1 million Instagram followers on Monday, Génesis shared a statement from fellow Venezuelan model Michell Roxana, asserting that there was no crime or evidence against them. She called the accusations a fabrication by Borgio, claiming it was a deliberate attempt to tarnish their reputations.

Génesis, originally from Maracaibo, Venezuela, is known for appearing in music videos for top artists such as Anuel and Sebastián Yatra.
