Elon Musk, billionaire entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla, has ignited controversy by accusing UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer of being complicit in what he calls the “Rape of Britain” during Starmer’s tenure as head of the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) from 2008 to 2013.
Musk alleges that Starmer failed to take effective action against grooming gangs responsible for exploiting young girls across the UK.
Musk’s remarks center on the widely condemned grooming gang scandal, particularly in Rotherham, where investigations revealed that hundreds of young girls were abused by gangs, predominantly of Pakistani heritage.
Critics argue that systemic failures by local authorities and law enforcement allowed these atrocities to persist unchecked.
“Starmer was complicit in the RAPE OF BRITAIN when he was head of Crown Prosecution for 6 years. Starmer must go and face charges for his complicity in the worst mass crime in British history.”
He further cited a YouGov poll that indicated a significant decline in public confidence in the Labour government, with only 12% of respondents believing the government has been effective.
More than half labelled it “incompetent” and “dishonest.”
Musk suggested that a new general election should be called in the UK, sharing polling data to highlight public dissatisfaction. He has also expressed support for Nigel Farage’s Reform UK party, describing it as “the only way to save” Britain. Reports speculating Musk’s financial backing of up to $100 million for the party have been denied by the tech magnate.
Musk has also championed the release of right-wing activist Tommy Robinson, who is serving an 18-month prison sentence for defamatory claims made in a documentary.
Robinson, whose real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, describes himself as a “political prisoner” and claims he was jailed for “speaking the truth.”
The Tesla founder’s recent criticisms have not been limited to the UK.
Musk predicted defeat for Chancellor Olaf Scholz in upcoming snap elections in Germany and voiced support for the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.
Berlin warned that such remarks could strain US-German relations.
Musk’s remarks have fueled a broader conversation about how authorities have handled grooming gang cases in Britain.
Prominent MPs, including Rupert Lowe of Reform UK and Robert Jenrick of Newark, have called for more substantial penalties and greater accountability. However, Prime Minister Starmer’s office has not responded to Musk’s latest accusations.
This is not the first time Musk has taken a confrontational stance toward Starmer’s government.

Starmer must go and he must face charges for his complicity in the worst mass crime in the history of Britain.
In August, he warned of an “inevitable civil war” in Britain, a comment dismissed by UK officials as “totally unjustified.” In November, Musk endorsed a petition for early elections, gathering over two million signatures.
As political tensions mount, Musk’s comments continue to resonate globally, fueling debates about free speech, political accountability, and the role of public figures in international politics.
