Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce are reportedly considering an engagement this summer, per a source close to M10News. Speculation suggests they avoided a winter proposal to prevent it from seeming rushed, with plans possibly set for their first anniversary in July.
Despite their first public appearance in September, Swift, 34, disclosed in a Time magazine interview that they had been dating for a more extended period, starting after Kelce, 34, shared his failed attempt to give her his number on his podcast.
Swift emphasised the importance of their private time, saying, “We had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for because we got to get to know each other.”
Acknowledging their public lives, Swift highlighted their pride in openly supporting each other. In December, M10News reported Kelce sought permission from Swift’s father, Scott Swift, for marriage, with Scott reportedly giving his blessing.
The couple spent the holidays with both families, showing affection on New Year’s Eve. While engagement rumours circulate, the couple is taking their time to ensure it’s a thoughtful decision and not rushed.
