Prince Louis’ Heartwarming Note at Princess of Wales’ Christmas Carol Service Melts Hearts
The Princess of Wales is hosting her annual Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey, and a touching moment from her youngest child, Prince Louis, has melted hearts.
Kate, dressed in a festive red coat, was joined by her family to oversee the Together at Christmas service, which celebrates those who have supported others throughout the year.
During the event, Prince Louis was spotted carrying a red piece of paper on which he had written a note of thanks. The young royal had paused at a ‘Kindness Tree’ outside the Abbey’s great west door, where messages of gratitude were being hung in honour of people who have made a difference in their lives. Louis’ note read: “Thank you for Granny and Grandpa because they have played games with me.”
Kate also shared a heartfelt message with the 1,600 carol service attendees, including members of the royal family, in which she wrote, “Love is the light that can shine bright, even in our darkest times.” Her note continued: “This Carol Service is a heartfelt celebration of all of you and a reminder that at Christmas and throughout the year, we must all shine for each other. Because in times of joy and sadness, we are all each other’s light.”
Among those gathered to meet the Princess of Wales were singers Gregory Porter and Paloma Faith, actors Richard E Grant, Michelle Dockery, and Sophie Okonedo, who was nominated for an Oscar for her role in Hotel Rwanda. Olympic swimming champion Adam Peaty was also present, and others gave readings during the service.
