Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and the world’s richest person, stated in a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account that electing Donald Trump in the 2024 U.S. Presidential election is the only way to protect American democracy and prevent the country from becoming a one-party state under Democratic control.

Musk posted on Sunday, asserting that many Americans are unaware of the critical stakes in the upcoming November election. “Very few Americans realise that, if Trump is NOT elected, this will be the last election,” Musk wrote. “Far from being a threat to democracy, he is the only way to save it!”

He further elaborated, claiming that the Democratic Party is accelerating efforts to increase the number of legal voters by granting citizenship to undocumented immigrants. “If even 1 in 20 illegals become citizens per year, something that the Democrats are expediting as fast as humanly possible, that would be about 2 million new legal voters in 4 years,” Musk explained.

Musk also emphasised the narrow margins in U.S. swing states, stating that “the voting margin in swing states is often less than 20,000 votes,” suggesting that an influx of new citizens could significantly influence future elections.

He accused the Biden administration of flying “asylum seekers” into crucial battleground states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Arizona to secure future electoral victories for Democrats.

According to Musk, if Democrats succeed in these efforts, the U.S. would become a one-party state. He compared this to California’s political situation, claiming that following a 1986 amnesty, the state has become dominated by Democratic policies, leading to extreme socialism and government control.

Musk warned that, without Trump, the entire country could face similar consequences.

“America then becomes a one-party state, and Democracy is over,” Musk stated, suggesting that Democratic Party primaries may soon become the only meaningful elections.

He warned that cities across the U.S. could face conditions similar to what he described as the “nightmare” of downtown San Francisco.

Elon Musk supports Donald Trump: Argues that Trump is the only candidate who can prevent the U.S. from becoming a one-party state.

Accusations against Democrats: Claims the Biden administration is fast-tracking citizenship for undocumented immigrants to secure future elections.

Impact on swing states: Musk pointed out the potential influence of new voters in critical battleground states.

Warning of a one-party system: Musk warns that without Trump, U.S. democracy could resemble California’s political landscape, dominated by one party with no political escape.

This statement has stirred significant discussion online, with reactions divided on Musk’s claims and their implications for the 2024 election.
