Megan Thee Stallion to Receive Inaugural genLOVE Award for Philanthropy at Golden Heart Awards
Megan Thee Stallion, known for her commitment to charitable causes, will be honoured with the inaugural genLOVE award for outstanding philanthropy at the Golden Heart Awards on October 21 in New York City.
The rapper’s philanthropic efforts will be honoured alongside Sarah Jessica Parker, who will receive the Michael Kors Award for outstanding philanthropy during the Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine gala.
The event will also feature a curated dinner by restaurateur Melba Wilson and a special performance by five-time Grammy winner Sam Smith. Returning co-chairs for the awards include Michael Kors, John Idol, and Blaine Trump, with Anna Wintour serving as honorary chairwoman.
Tickets for the Golden Heart Awards are available on the official website, offering various perks and contributing to medically tailored meals for God’s Love We Deliver. Last year’s event raised over $3.5 million, providing more than 350,000 meals to those in need.
Megan Thee Stallion’s recognition comes in light of her ongoing philanthropic efforts through her non-profit, the Pete and Thomas Foundation, which she established in honor of her late parents. The foundation’s initiatives include the Emergency Power Program, which supports senior citizens affected by natural disasters.
