A major fundraiser for former President Donald Trump is being hosted by Tom and Stacey Siebel in Woodside, California, on Friday, according to reports.
The Los Angeles Times reported that Tom Siebel, a billionaire software developer and CEO of the enterprise AI software company C3.ai, is a second cousin once removed of Jennifer Siebel Newsom, the wife of Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom.
As noted by the Times and the San Francisco Gate, Tom Siebel has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars to Trump’s 2024 campaign and associated PACs. Governor Newsom has been a vocal critic of Trump and served as a surrogate for President Biden’s now-defunct re-election campaign.
Following Biden’s withdrawal from the race in July, Newsom resumed campaigning for the Democratic nominee, now Vice President Kamala Harris, and was recently active in Philadelphia. KTVU confirmed Trump’s attendance at the Bay Area fundraiser, with ticket prices ranging from $3,300 to $250,000 per person.
After attending 9/11 memorial ceremonies in New York City and Shanksville, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday, Trump is scheduled to return to the campaign trail on Thursday. Before heading to Los Angeles for another fundraiser, he will travel to Tucson, Arizona. The Associated Press reported that Trump plans to speak to the media Friday morning before attending the Bay Area event and will then proceed to Las Vegas for another rally.
