President Joe Biden was spotted dining at a posh Italian restaurant on the Upper East Side Tuesday night as his vice president and successor on the Democratic ticket, Kamala Harris, prepared for her highly anticipated debate against former President Donald Trump.

The 81-year-old commander-in-chief enjoyed a meal at Campagnola, a well-known Italian spot on First Avenue. Earlier, Biden informed reporters that his trip to New York was to celebrate his granddaughter’s birthday.

She seems calm, cool, and collected. I think she’s going to do great. And I’m not going to tell you what advice I gave her.”
