Lisa Barlow’s debut at New York Fashion Week almost took a costly turn when she lost a $100,000 ring during the afterparty for designer Sergio Hudson’s fashion show.
The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star was dancing energetically at Hearsay nightclub on Saturday night when the ring flew off her finger.
A partygoer reported to Page Six that Barlow, who was dancing behind the DJ booth, lost the ring as she joined Hudson in his VIP area. “Having this be her first NYFW, it didn’t start with a sparkling start. She was certainly sad,” a source said. The nightclub’s dim lighting and packed crowd made it nearly impossible to locate the lost jewellery.
Barlow, who has had issues with her rings slipping off before, had to leave the event without her prized possession. Previously, she had replaced a sentimental $60,000 ring lost at the airport during Season 4 of her Bravo show.
Fortunately, the ring was recovered later that evening by Sergio Hudson’s partner, who found it near his table. The ring was safely returned to Barlow at her hotel on Monday.
The incident recalls another high-profile jewellery loss from 2018 when Paris Hilton lost a $2 million engagement ring on a Miami dancefloor, only for it to be found later in an ice bucket. Hilton’s engagement to Chris Zylka did not endure, however.
