Former President Donald Trump has announced his White House transition team, setting the stage for a potential return to the Oval Office.
The team will be led by Linda McMahon and Howard Lutnick, who will serve as co-chairs. The transition effort also includes prominent Trump allies as honorary chairs, such as Ohio Senator JD Vance, the vice presidential candidate, and Trump’s eldeTrump, Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump.
McMahon, a former professional wrestler and business executive, previously served as the Small Business Administration Administrator under Trump and later chaired the super PAC America First Action.
Lutnick, the CEO of Cantor Fitzgerald, is a billionaire who has supported Trump with fundraising efforts for the 2020 and 2024 elections.
Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., both actively involved in their father’s cam father’s leadership of the Trump Organization, will play significant roles in shaping the transition.
Eric Trump introduced his father at the Republican National Convention, while Trump Jr. has expressed a desire to influence critical appointments within a potential administration.
Its responsibilities will include vetting potential administration leaders, planning policies, and managing the White House transition to ensure readiness from Day One.
In his statement, Trump emphasized his commitment to a bold agenda, promising to restore strength, competence, and common sense to the Oval Office. “We will deliver greater safety, prosperity, and freedom for the American people,” Trump stated, expressing confidence in the team’s ability to govern from the outset effectively.
