A manhunt is underway in West London following the escape of prisoner Graham Gomm, 63, from Hammersmith Hospital on Wednesday night.
Gomm, who was on remand for burglary charges, managed to elude guards after being transferred from HMP Wormwood Scrubs.
The last known sighting of Gomm described him wearing a grey T-shirt and tracksuit.
Detectives express concern for his welfare, noting he was receiving medical treatment prior to his escape.
While there is no indication that he poses a threat to the public, authorities advise anyone who sees him to refrain from approaching and to contact emergency services immediately at 999.
Scotland Yard is conducting extensive searches, collaborating with partners, reviewing CCTV footage, and visiting locations associated with Gomm. The escape was reported at approximately 1:18 a.m. on Thursday, July 18.
