King Charles III of the United Kingdom has personally sent a solidarity diplomatic letter out to Donald Trump following the former president’s survival of an assassination attempt during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Buckingham Palace confirmed the letter was delivered via the UK embassy in Washington, DC, on Sunday.

The assassination attempt on Trump, 78, took place during an outdoor campaign rally where a sniper opened fire, resulting in injuries to Trump and the tragic death of firefighter Corey Comperatore. Two other attendees were also injured in the incident. Trump recounted the terrifying experience on his Truth Social platform, describing how a bullet narrowly missed him, grazing his ear.
