A British passenger has died on a TUI flight to Glasgow after suffering a cardiac arrest mid-air.
The incident occurred on flight BY1573, which reported an emergency Squawk 7700 signal after leaving Tenerife Airport at 5.30 pm on December 30, 2023.
Around 6.40 pm, the aircraft made an emergency landing at Funchal Airport on the island of Madeira. The nameless woman could not be saved, despite the efforts of emergency personnel who arrived on the site and spoke with airline personnel.
