Former Obama, Trump Doctor Claims Biden Likely Has ‘Cognitive Disease,’ Urges Resignation: ‘National Security Issue’

Texas Congressman and former White House physician Ronny Jackson has called for President Joe Biden to resign from office, citing concerns over what he perceives as signs of cognitive decline.

Jackson, who previously served as personal physician to Presidents Obama and Donald Trump, made the statement following Biden’s recent debate performance, which he described as confused and halting.

In an interview with The Post, Jackson emphasized that Biden’s performance indicates more than normal ageing. “There is a condition. I don’t know what it is. I am not going to give him a diagnosis. It is more than just age. It is some cognitive disease,” Jackso” asserted. He referenced concerns over diseases like ParkinsoParkinson’seimeAlzheimer’sn cause cognitive decline in older individuals.

Jackson had previously urged Biden to undergo a cognitive test, a request the president has not fulfilled since taking office. Reacting to Biden’s Biden’s performance, Jackson stated, “You are “‘t aren’t hear me talk about cognitive tests anymore. He got one [Thursday] night in front of millions of viewers and failed miserably.”

Regarding potential actions, if Biden does not resign voluntarily, Jackson suggested that cabinet secretaries consider invoking the 25th Amendment, which allows for removing a president deemed unfit to discharge their duties.

During the debate, both Biden and former President Trump, who are 81 and 78 years old, respectively, faced questions about their mental capacities, with Trump mentioning that he had taken cognitive tests and Biden had not. Jackson affirmed that he had not observed any cognitive issues with Trump, describing him as sharp and with an excellent memory.
