Jack Grealish may be available for Manchester City’s upcoming match against Sheffield United after a burglary at his Cheshire home while playing for City at Everton. Fortunately, no one was harmed during the burglary, and police are now investigating the incident.

The City manager, Pep Guardiola, expressed relief that Grealish’s family and fiancee, Sasha Atwood, were unharmed.

City will be without Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne for the match against Sheffield United, with John Stones being the latest addition to the injury list. Haaland has not returned to full training after a foot injury, and De Bruyne is nearing a comeback but is not yet ready for the match. Stones hobbled off with an ankle injury during the game against Everton and is expected to be out shortly.

Guardiola anticipates a problematic match against Sheffield United, who are currently at the bottom of the Premier League table. Despite their position, they have produced some encouraging performances under the management of Chris Wilder. Guardiola acknowledges that Sheffield United has caused problems for City in the past and expects a tough match.

The game will be City’s last match of 2023, a year in which they won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, European Super Cup, and Club World Cup.

Grealish’s availability for the upcoming match against Sheffield United is uncertain following a burglary at his home. City will be without Haaland and De Bruyne, and Stones will also miss the game due to injury. Guardiola expects a challenging match against Sheffield United, who have shown promising performances recently despite their position in the league table.
