Trump’s ‘Hush Money’ Trial Case Exposes Corruption in New York’s Justice System

The court docket in Manhattan identifies the case as “People of the State of New York v. Donald J. Trump.”

Legally, this may be true, but in a broader sense, it feels like the entire state of New York is being put on trial as the case approaches its conclusion.

Ideally, a case of this magnitude, involving the indictment of a former president, should have been handled with utmost integrity and without any political bias.

However, what we have witnessed is a spectacle filled with theatrics, such as the testimony of an adult star about relationship encounters, while lacking substantial evidence of any actual crime committed.

As a result, the trial itself has become an attack on the principle of impartial justice. Regardless of the jury’s verdict on Trump, the prosecutors, judge, state court system, and the political class have been exposed as deeply corrupt.

This is not the first time that New York Democrats have manipulated the legal system to serve their partisan agenda of destroying Trump.

In one instance, they exploited a change in the statute of limitations law, leading to a defamation ruling against him and an exorbitant fine of $92 million.

Another dubious case, initiated by a blatantly partisan state attorney general, concocted a charge of civil fraud with the intention of bankrupting him.

A novice state judge, who seemed to relish the spotlight, readily agreed and imposed a fine of $355 million.

These are the disgraceful outcomes of a one-party blue state. The only justice that has been served thus far is a biased one, inadvertently bolstering Trump’s popularity and strengthening his position against President Biden.

Furthermore, they have inadvertently validated the former president’s claim that his supporters are the ultimate target.

Governor Hochul’s derogatory remarks about the New Yorkers who attended Trump’s rally in the Bronx, referring to them as “clowns,” only solidify her reputation as a partisan hack.

It is important to remind her that she governs a population of 20 million people, not just the 6 million registered Democrats.

Just imagine the outrage if Trump had made derogatory comments about thousands of predominantly black and Latino supporters.

Imagine if Trump had referred to thousands of predominantly black and Latino supporters at a Biden rally as jesters. The New York Times would have halted their printing presses to denounce him as a racist.

Hochul, who recently had to apologize for stating that black children in The Bronx grow up without knowledge of the word “computer,” criticized Trump and his supporters while also expressing her commitment to collaborating with Mayor Adams to improve safety and the overall state of New York.

She has never condemned Biden for his open-border policy, which has resulted in a disastrous financial and social situation for New York, nor has she taken a tough stance against the far-left radicals in the Legislature.

However, she quickly condemned Trump for extending a hand in bipartisanship.

Then again, Hochul is no stranger to smearing her opponents. In 2022, she demanded that Trump and her GOP opponent, Lee Zeldin, “get on a bus and go to Florida where you belong… you are not New Yorkers.”

She also claimed that Republicans “do not represent our values.”

Which values might those be? Manipulating the courts for political gain?

Or turning New York into a leader in resident out-migration as families flee due to high crime, excessive taxes, and inadequate services?

Unfortunately, Hochul is not alone in her radical views. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, who sympathises with criminals and disregards their victims, is using the Trump case to fulfil his party obligations.

Bragg cannot build a solid case.

The assertion that Trump used “hush money” payments to Stormy Daniels to conceal an underlying crime was always a stretch, and now it seems like a figment of imagination because Bragg never identified any underlying crime.

CNN commentator Fareed Zakaria stated, “I doubt that the New York indictment would have been brought against a defendant whose name was not Donald Trump.”

What a scathing indictment of New York!

Bragg once shared the same opinion about the flawed case, as he dropped the long-standing investigation shortly after assuming office in 2022. This puts him in good company alongside the Federal Election Commission and federal prosecutors in New York.
